Quentin Smith | COO, S of X Technology Partners, LLC

Mr. Smith has over 35 years of industry experience, is a co-founder of S of X Technology Partners, and serves as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, he spent 16 years on the leadership team at Praxis Engineering leading to P&L responsibility for $100M+ portfolio of prime and subcontract work. Before Praxis, he was a vice president and board member at a venture capital backed start-up where he held leadership roles in operations and business development. In both prior roles, Mr. Smith was part of small teams that led successful exits through acquisition by large public companies. He is currently a general partner in Old Line Capital Partners, a local early-stage investment group. He earned a BSEE from Drexel University; an MSEE from Johns Hopkins University and a mini-MBA from Stanford University. He also serves as a current board member of AFCEA Central Maryland, participates on the Scholarship and Kickstarter committees, is a former Chapter President, and has held numerous roles on the ExCom.

Melissa McCoy | CTO, Kaizen Approach, Inc. 

Ms. McCoy contributes 30 years of security and information assurance experience to Kaizen Approach. She has worked with a wide variety of security disciplines, including network security, host and application security, security policy development, operations, security certification /compliance and architecture/design. Ms. McCoy’s background is primarily in commercial IT environments, with recent years spent assisting the Intelligence Community. For Kaizen Approach, she manages the commercial cybersecurity practice and specifically supports individual customer’s cyber security solutions. Ms. McCoy earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Penn State University and her Masters in Information Technology from George Washington University. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and an Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP).  Melissa is also a Registered Practitioner (RP) of CMMC. Ms. McCoy is a current member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2.

TJ Greenier | President, Clarity Business Solutions, Inc.

Mr. Greenier has a passion for data and application usability. Data analysis and use is everywhere in our lives and proper organization and processing is critical to application success. He has become an expert in data modeling, application development and transitioning large legacy systems to modern data storage solutions. As Clarity’s President, Mr. Greenier has honed a strong sense of the marketplace. He provides focused direction, helps drive Clarity’s growth, and offers plenty of opportunity for input from employees. Prior to launching Clarity Business Solutions in 2006, Mr. Greenier worked in various capacities as a software engineer and technical lead. Mr. Greenier enjoys volunteering with the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He has served as the Young AFCEAn (YAC) chapter president, Vice President of Science and Education, and Vice President of Technology. Mr. Greenier currently serves as the lead for the Central Maryland’s chapter’s STEM Kickstarter grant program, benefiting local schools. He has worked with local schools to promote STEM education and encourages involvement from Clarity employees in many AFCEA activities. Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Mr. Greenier earned a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and his M.B.A. from Pitt at the Joseph M. Katz, Graduate School of Business
