Brigadier General Matteo Martemucci

Director of Intelligence for US Cyber Command 

Brigadier General Matteo Martemucci is the Director of Intelligence for US Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland. In this capacity, he serves as the principal intelligence advisor to the Commander and informs the planning and execution of full-spectrum cyber operations to defend the Nation and enable combat operations around the globe. Brig. Gen. Martemucci is a career intelligence officer and Cyberspace Operator whose 28-year career has included command at the squadron, group, and wing levels, and in staff assignments with the Air Staff, Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense. He has completed seven deployments or remote tours with time in Korea, the Czech Republic, France, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Afghanistan, and Syria with a total of 3 years in the Middle East. A fully qualified European foreign area officer, he is fluent in Czech and conversant in Italian and Spanish languages. He is also a military parachutist with 25 jumps from seven different aircraft types. Brig. Gen. Martemucci is a published author with work appearing in the IOsphere, the Professional Journal of Joint Information Operations; and in the Case Western Reserve Journal of International Law. As a former Hoover Institution National Security Affairs Fellow, Brig. Gen. Martemucci continues to speak publicly on issues of cyber strategy and policy. Prior to his current position, he served as the Director of Intelligence for the Combined Task Force - Operation INHERENT RESOLVE (CJTF-OIR) in Baghdad, ensuring the enduring defeat of the Islamic State in Iraq & Syria (ISIS).
His decorations include two Defense Superior Service Medals, two Defense Meritorious Service Medals and the Bronze Star Medal. He holds a BA in International Politics from Penn State University, an MS in international Relations from Troy University, an MS in Joint Campaign Planning & Strategy from the National Defense University, a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Management from George Washington University, and a National Security Affairs Fellowship at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University.

Leslie Steele

Co-founder and CEO of InterImage, Inc

Leslie Steele is co-founder and CEO of InterImage, Inc., an information technology services provider focused on application modernization and sustainment.  With over 30 years of experience in IT, Ms. Steele has focused on program and financial management, mentoring and the impact of technology on business processes.  Under her executive leadership, InterImage has achieved growth, recognition and success. A Fed 100 awardee, Ms. Steele has served in an advisory capacity to both private and public sector institutions, including serving as Chair of the Industry Advisory Council and President of AFCEA Bethesda Chapter. Her work has included conducting Business Process Re-engineering efforts; leading systems analysis, requirements and user testing efforts for enterprise systems; managing large e-gov development efforts; and providing general management and strategic direction assistance to companies and federal government agencies. Ms. Steele has a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MBA from Duke University.
